Vassar Brothers Medical Center - Inpatient Pavilion

Project Background:
The eight-level Vassar Brothers Inpatient Pavilion added 290 luxury private patient rooms to an existing campus, as well as a new emergency department, interventional suite, central plant expansion, conference center, café, rooftop helipad, and new hospital inpatient lobby. This project added 752,000 SQ FT to the campus, which totaled $580 million in construction cost.
My Project Role:
I assisted the design team through Construction and Contract Administration. This included attending weekly OAC meetings and logging meeting minutes, keeping organized logs of open & closed RFIs and submittals, updating drawings via construction sketches, and visiting the project site for construction administration and punchlisting. Post-completion, I collaborated with the marketing department to submit this project for numerous design awards. This included expressing the design story through sketches, diagrams, storytelling narratives, and imagery.
